Development of Proteomics Technologies

We are developing various proteomics technologies to advance the proteomics field and to facilitate biomedical discoveries using these novel technologies. One of the proteomics technologies that we are actively developing is enrichment technologies for proteins with post-translational modifications (PTMs). Proteins have >500 types of post-translational modifications such as phosphorylation, ubiquitination, and acetylation. Since PTM modifications of proteins alter protein functions, the identification of the PTM-modified proteins is critical in having a complete understanding of biological phenomena. However, the identification of most PTM-modified proteins is not available without enrichment due to their low stoichiometry. Therefore, the development of enrichment technology for PTMs is essential in studying biomedical researches.
