Cell-type-specific proteome analysis

The human body is composed of >200 different cell types entangled, forming organs with different functions. During the disease pathogenesis process, each cell type crosstalks and manifests different responses. Therefore, proteome analysis of tissue chunk that is a mixture of multiple cell types would provide mixed information derived from multiple cell types. Therefore, deconvolution of those signals from multiple cell types via cell-type-specific proteome analysis is critical in understanding the pathogenesis process. We are working on the technology development for the cell-type-specific proteome analysis and applying those technologies to pathogenesis mechanism studies.
